Every year hundreds of thousands of agricultural migrant workers come to Germany from Eastern Europe. The EU accession of Romania opens up a new source of highly motivated workers for German farmers. There is a variety of legal frameworks under which migrant workers can be brought to Germany. These can vary depending on the source country and local laws. Many farmers lament the difficulty of working with the Polish authorities. Romania is an excellent alternative.
