The final objective is the same - to relive humankind of unpleasant and boring work. Computer programmes have changed the lives of humans more rapidly and more drastically than any other development in history.
Anyone brought up in post-war Europe can probably remember how mother darned socks. Today Great Granny surf in the internet and stays in touch with the great grandkids by email. A trip to Thailand would have been as thinkable for a European mother of the sock-darning-era as hitting six numbers right in the lottery. Today more Germans take their vacation outside their own country than within - never mind the "snowbird syndrome" of Canadians.
The central element of all of these developments is the phenomenal rise in productivity thanks to computer programmes.
Our Senior Software Developmer, Dr. Silviu Dumitrescu, taught programming for ten years at the university level. During this time, hundreds of highly gifted students went through his classes.
