Do you keep your books using internal or external resources? Why?
Generally, we see three types of bookkeeping: - Outsourcing to external experts, typically chartered accountants
- Complete internal bookkeeping
- Simple bookkeeping is done in-house, more complicated cases are outsourced.
The complete handling of bookkeeping through internal forces is generally the domain of major companies - and even these generally resort to external auditors. Smaller companies will often outsource their complete bookkeeping to external service providers or they may carry out simple tasks in-house and outsource more complex activities.
